The user interface for programming block is not friendly.
Once you have programmed a lot of scripts inside, it will be harder and time consuming to find back the previous functions by dragging/ scrolling.

It requires disciple, but a combination of sort blocks by categore, arrange blocks horizontally/vertically, collapse blocks and highlight procedure on a call helps a lot to keep you organized.
And, if not, that maybe is a sign that you could simplify your code.
If all this does not help, start coding in Java, because you have outgrown AppInventor, which is an educational tool.
