508 compliance - accesssible for disabilities?

Does anyone know if the MIT App Inventor website has specific information about Section 508 compliance (i.e., disability accessibility)?

Here is what 508 compliance requires:

➠ 508 Standards for Electronic and Information Technology

Here is what MIT says about App Inventor  The terms of service for App Inventor are here:  http://ai2.appinventor.mit.edu/about/termsofservice.html   . It does not reference disabilities or 508 compliance..

508 compliance are the requirements for providing the US Federal government with services, software etc.  To my knowledge, MIT or App Inventor do not do this so it is probably not 508 complaint

Steve (not MIT)   I put a flag on this and someone at MIT might respond if you could be more precise concerning what you want to know about..

I'm trying to answer questions about MIT App Inventorsoftware for a government approval of a phone app that I created. I was guessing that it is not 508 compliant because I can't find anything on the website about it.

Here is what one federal agency says about Android Studio, the main Java based compiler for developing professional Android apps.

It appears Android Studio isn't compliant.. but it appears apps made with are, might be used there.   Sorry, you got to figure this out.

From my reading of SteveJG's link on Section 508, AI2's design is not the problem here, but your app's design and features.
You are the contractor supplying the app, and not required to use tools subject to Section 508 in your work.
(I assume you are neither deaf, blind, or lacking in other capabilities.)

Now for your app's features, as they relate to Section 508 (not the complete list)...
Did you allow the user to change the font sizes, colors, and background colors?
Did you allow for speech input/output?
Did you provide appropriate visual cues for touch input?

Those are all things you would have to code yourself in whatever tool you use.
