Yes or No in popup

I would like to confirm a deletion of an item in a list, so I would like a pop up after selecting a delete button.  Pop up says YES or NO, select yes and the deletion happens, select no, no deletion.  I am going around in circles trying to figure out how to get the pop up with the selections of YES or NO.

I have started with this, can not understand how to get selection of the notifier into the if statement.
