App Inventor failed to connect via AI Companion

App Inventor failed to connect via AI Companion, this was working ok last night. I scan the bar code but nothing happens other than the screen on the phone returns to the option to scan the bar code.

I have tried clearing the cache, tried different browsers, tried different computers, tried different phones. Reinstalled ai companion. All the same.  Ai2 appinventor fails to connect with ai companion.
It was fine last night

Do you know when this will Be fixed.  I was banging my head all morning.  We just started.  Using this program in my eighth-grade computer class we started today and nothing was connecting.  But I was bringing up projects I did a month ago and they were working so I was confused any status update would be greatly appreciated

Hi,

We have a fix in place and it should be out in a short while. As a stopgap, if you connect the companion on a project containing media, and then switch to another project, the problem should go away. It's only when you attempt to connect the companion to a project without media that the issue arises.

Thanks to SteveJG for sending us an AIA that helped us pinpoint the problem.

We just deployed release nb152a that fixes a problem with the Companion if your project has no assets (images, sounds etc.). See if things work for you now. Note: You will likely need to reload your browser if you are currently logged in. Then check that the Help->About menu choice shows version nb152a

The 'fix' 152a  works Evan/Jeff.   Projects without assets created after 7 November now work properly with AI Companion.   Thank you.
