Learn how to design a "retro" handheld game using INKSCAPE and App Inventor.
This tutorial is aimed to show you the steps I usually use to design a game, how to get the sprites, how to improve them with inskcape, how to "size" your sprites before exporting them to app inventor.
Also how to use inkscape to have a general idea about how your game will look. How to place sprites and other elements in app inventor using inskcape.
Inskcape is really powerful and I am sure you will be able to make very attractive game in no time if you use inskcape with app inventor.
In app inventor I will show you how to use the designer to "resize" sprites and set sprites in place. I know tutorial is soooo long but believe me if you follow the tutorial you will learn so many basic and important stuff about working with inskcape as "a designer screen" for app Inventor. Also is possible to use Gimp. Anyway hope this tutorial helps you and I will post the source file soon but first try to follow my lead and get and make your own graphics !

What is Inkscape?
Inkscape is professional quality vector graphics software which runs on Windows, Mac OS X and GNU/Linux.
