Dynamically create buttons App Inventor 2

From google search this question has not been posted since 2011, back in the App Inventor 1 days. Thought with the release of App Inventor 2, they would allow you to dynamically create buttons?

Not possible.    You can create some buttons and labels, hide them and show them when you want but you can not create objects on the fly with AI2.

If you want this feature, you may have to design it yourself.   It does not have a very high priority considering other things being developed Ben.   Roll your own instructions are here:  http://appinventor.mit.edu/appinventor-sources/   .

The MIT Development team is a very small group; they have to prioritize.  Write some code to do it, discuss it here https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/app-inventor-open-source-dev    and hopefully it will be included in a future version.

At the moment, MIT is testing moving from API3 to API4, which will have a significant impact on the majority of users.  What seemed a simple change to the non-development programmers, is actually a big deal, so resources are working where needed.  AI2 does not yet have most of the neat features found in the free, Java based professional Android compilers (Eclipse and Android Studio).

to star an issue means, to click onto the star in the upper left corner of the issue to vote for it and to get an email in case there are news
