You can send a location determined from the AI2 LocationSensor and send the location information n a text message. Use the LocationSensor and the Texting control (In the Social blocks).
What have you tried Angelica?
I'm having trouble putting the result of the location on SMS
The barcode scanner is not going to help you at all.
First, you might build your confidence in programming AI2 with the following:
MITs tutorials http://appinventor.mit.edu/ex plore/ai2/tutorials.html
AI2 free online eBook http://appinventor.mit.edu/e xplore/ai2/tutorials.html ... the links are at the bottom of the Web page. This is a free course in how to program with AI2.
In the MIT tutorials is the LocationSensor tutorial. It explains how to use the control, probably in more detail than you want at this point, however, within the book http://www.appinventor.org/Ch apter23 is a short discussion of using the LocationSensor. Use a block like shown in the example and you can use the global lastKnownLocation as part of the text to send in your text message. You can also use the LocationSensor.CurrentAddress block to send a street address, if one is available in the Google map system instead of sending the latitude and longitude as in theChapter 23 example.
Here is an example of sending a text message http://www. appinventor.org/Chapter4
Combine the two activities and you can build the app you want.
I suggest you do some reading, try some blocks and you can build the app you want, however, the blocks you posted indicate you need to look at the examples and try again.
