My device or the location blocks?

I am following along to this tutorial for a weather app . Everything works great but when I try to get the  latitude/longitude from the location sensor and put them in their label.text,  I keep on getting 0,0 for both lat and long . I see my GPS is on, but the icon on my device goes away after 10 seconds. Could the issue be my device or the code below?
