Swipe the Screen NOT Only Over the canvas

I have some screens nested inside one screen and i use next button and back button to change between these virtual screens ( which is basicly one creen but the content change ) and it works fine , but i need to  be able to swipe with my finger to change between screens i read this topic http://puravidaapps.com/snippets.php#2canvas  and it works fine ONLY if i press or swipe over the canvas , but i dont want to do that . i want to swipe over any part of the screen so how can i do that ?

PS the screen have multi elements like buttons , images , web view etc .

generally you can't

however as you already have seen, there is the canvas method and there is also the webviewer method
