why app inventor does not evolve?

anyone know why the app inventor does not evolve? is good but needsmore components, components for access to databases, and print reports. I really need to print barcode, not qr code, code for payments inbanks. I still think there is no way to mount a barcode and print it.

If you need to print and bar codes now, you can develop those modules or you can get them now using Eclipse or Android Studio; the Java based compilers that have more toys because they are professional compilers.  They, like AI2 are free.  AI2 is an entry level compiler that depends highly on volunteer help.

The core App Inventor developement team is very small and before adding new features or components it has to be thoroughly tested first which can take time. App Inventor is open source so anyone can contribute and evolve it themselves like I currently do as an open source developer.
