I understand emulators can be opened from command line. So in my post, I meant if the emulator can be opened directly from AI2, like in AI classic. Thanks.
Also, how to download the app to the connected emulator to test persistent data? It looks like some flexibilities in AI Classic are gone in AI2.
AI2 deals with only one emulator at a time.
As for downloading a app into a connected emulator, download the app to your computer and install it in the emulator using adb install.
Thanks for the reply.
Is there a plan to add a menu option to AI2 environment so that downloading an app to a connected emulator can be done by one-click as in AI classic? I was able to install a project to the emulator by using adb install. But it would be nicer if there is a button in AI2 that can do it, especially for students whose majors are not computer science. So, is there a plan to implement those in AI2?
I'm not entirely sure what you are asking for. Are you asking for a button that builds the current app and installs the abok in an emulator, rather than just downloading the apk to the local computer? Or is it something else?
Marry Christmas.
You are right. I was asking for a button that installs the current project to the connected emulator so that students can test persistent data (tinydb) using emulator. It can be easily done by one click in AI Classic.
Thanks. Happy New Year.
